This has been and is an ongoing job for me as a Mum and program creator for Children's Wellbeing business.
I'm bored ..............how many times do we hear that?

Here is a few of the ideas that I have used over the years, especially over the last 5 years where the need to provide enormous range of children's craft & activities.

Treasure/Scavenger Hunts
Get the kids to plan them.  I had my children use their Dad's phone when they went for a nature walk. They took photos of 15 items - some easy to recognise, some not so. This engaged the children even more in nature as they were excited to make this challenging for me. So the next time I went for the walk with them they had sent the photos to my phone and 1 by 1 I had to find the items. I loved doing this and so did they.
Handy Hint : remind the kids to make it a fun challenge that Mum can be successful at, so not too tricky - because there is no fun in searching and not finding - or they have to share fun clues to help me!

Pinterest
If you haven't already found Pinterest, do yourself a favour ( and of course Follow me - April Crisanti & Moveit - Body Mind Play Grow) and set it up for yourself. Search up anything you want regarding kids activities/crafts eg. Paper plate crafts - there is millions of things you can make with a paper plate. Once you know how to check out Pinterest. Create a Board for your child and depending on their age, you can sit with a younger child or show your older child what to do. If your child loves painting - search painting for children. You will then have hundreds of pins to check out. Save the pins to your child's Board and whenever they are bored, access this and being bored is a thing of a past.
